laser surgeryLaser surgery continues to improve and wow patients and doctors alike. Lasers are now used to smooth fine and deeper wrinkles of the face, tighten big pores of the face, and remove facial irregularities like freckles and beauty spots. We are also able to remove spider veins in the face and leg region with minimal down time. Another exciting new modality utilizing lasers is hair removal. Significant hair removal can be obtained in the facial region, the underarms, the genital and leg region utilizing lasers. Several treatments are usually required to obtain an exceptional result. This can be conveniently and comfortably performed with a local anesthetic. Small spider veins, which in the past required multiple injections, can now be treated with the laser quite successfully. Age spots, or brown spots of the hands or face can also be removed with lasers. Laser resurfacing, which has been around for several years, now has advanced to the point where the surgeon may utilize a laser of differing strengths to remove finer lines with a much quicker recovery time, or deeper lines which require longer recovery.
