Candidates for Lip Augmentation
If you have concerns about the size or lack of fullness or shape of your lips. This procedure can enhance your appearance and improve overall self-confidence and self-esteem. The best candidates for Lip Augmentation are healthy individuals who are realistic about what the surgery can afford after a complete consultation.
How is Lip Augmentation Performed?
Scarring is not an issue because I use injectables. While there are numerous products on the market used for Lip Augmentation, I have achieved the best results utilizing Hyaluronic Acid, specifically Juvederm Ultra plus. This formula works so well and lasts longer because it is denser than other forms of Hyaluronic Acid. It has the extra benefit of having lidocaine, an anesthetic, mixed in it to ease pain of injection. I also utilize nerve blocks or topical anesthetics to maximize comfort level during Lip Augmentation procedure. The lips must be slightly overcorrected to obtain optimal results, and this overcorrection and swelling usually subsides within one or two days. Most people return to work the same day or one day later. Intense physical activity should be avoided for two to four days after the procedure.
Lip Augmentation Results
Longevity varies, but the result usually lasts 3-4 months, because the lips are an active area on the face. Lip Augmentation Procedure offers a natural option for anyone who desires fuller lips. Is performed in my office located on the Upper East Side in New York. You will be given a follow-up appointment with me in 7-10 days, and minor touch-up, if needed, may be done then.
I have a great deal of experience with all aspects of Lips Augmentation, and comfortably possess the required expertiseto allow me to achieve the best possible results for you.
Lip Augmentation FAQS

The amount of Juvederm Ultra plus needed to treat lips varies by the size of your lips and the desired degree of fullness. Usually 1-3 syringes of material does the trick.
When can I return to work after Lip Augmentation?
While there is little pain and discomfort after surgery, there is some swelling and slight over-correction to maximize results. For that reason, many of my patients either do not return to work on the day of the procedure, or take the following day off as well.
Will I be able to eat after Lip Augmentation?
I advise my patients to eat soup, pasta or anything that can be cut up in small pieces right after the procedure. After the first day, there are no restrictions.
How long will my results last after Lip Augmentation?
To maintain full lips, the procedure must be repeated every 3-4 months. The material does not stay as long as it does in other parts of the face because of the active nature of our lips,. If you choose not to do it that often, over time your lips will gradually return to the size they were before you were treated, no smaller!
Why do you say that you take a conservative approach to Lip Augmentation?
Years of experience have taught me to be conservative regarding lips augmentation because I have seen too many patients treated by other doctors who were too aggressive, causing their patients to look silly with lips resembling those of a fish, Trout Pout!”
